In our recent report, Ofsted (2018) stated: ‘Children in the early years progress well. They are supported well by very able adults who engage them in their learning through effective questioning. Lessons are planned to fit with the interests of the children and this really motivated the children to learn.’
In Class 1, we want our children to be enthusiastic, confident and successful in everything they do and most importantly enjoy learning. We promote a love of learning through our children’s natural interests enhanced with rich played based learning opportunities. A classroom which welcomes children’s natural curiosity and wonder, and a place where we question and explore our world. Children are taught through purposeful, creative and hands on experiences. In the Early Years we love nature and are very lucky to have a wonderful outdoor space to explore in come rain or shine. We love to go on ‘bear hunts’, jumping in puddles and collecting natural wonders to take back to the classroom. We encourage children to ‘have a go’ and to be confident in their abilities, as well as create strong bonds across both Nursery and Reception. Whilst in Class 1, children make special friendships which continue through School and beyond. Teaching is immersed with love and faithfulness, enabling children to feel valued and trust those around them. In the Early Years we understand the importance of providing not only high quality teaching and learning but exceptional care for every individual.
Part time and full time places are available in nursery from 3 years.
