Year 1 and Year 2 are exciting years for children full of fun and learning. The children begin to develop skills that will support them throughout their life such as: being independent; how to be a good citizen and friend; as well as a jam-packed curriculum!
We endeavour to create a curriculum immersed in creativity, curiosity and excitement. Our topic learning allows us to teach in a cross – curricular manner often finding links between the different areas. We aspire for children to be constantly learning, developing into strong, resilient, capable, confident and self-assured pupils.
As the class teacher I create planning based on what the children’s need to learn next and the interests they show, helping to ignite an enthusiasm for learning about the world. We pride ourselves on an inclusive, welcoming and inviting family approach to our classroom environment and school. We are particularly keen on supporting both the children, parents, carers and staff mental health and well-being.
